Vice Pro Review
2023ViceGolf Ball
A proper cast urethane tour ball for thirty-five dollars, sold direct because no retailer is taking a cut of it.

Vice built a business on a simple observation, which is that a large part of a premium golf ball's price is distribution rather than materials. Sell direct, skip the pro shop margin and the tour sponsorship budget, and a genuine three-piece cast urethane ball lands at thirty-five dollars instead of fifty-five. The Pro is the softer of the two flagship models, with an 80-compression core aimed at swing speeds between eighty and a hundred, and it does what a urethane ball is supposed to do around a green.
Half wedges check, full wedges pull back on receptive turf, and the cover holds up better than the price would lead you to expect. Off the tee it sits a shade behind the fastest balls here, partly because a low compression core gives something up at high speed, so anyone above 105 should be on the Pro Plus instead. The dimple pattern produces a mid flight that neither penetrates nor balloons. Buy in bulk and the per-dozen price falls further. On performance per dollar this is the strongest argument in the premium category.
