The direct to consumer ball that made the big brands nervous, in its firmer, longer form.

Vice built a company on the observation that a tour quality ball costs far less to make than to sell through a pro shop, and the Pro Plus is the top of that range. It is a four piece urethane ball with a firmer compression than the standard Pro, aimed at a swing above 110 miles an hour, and for that golfer it is long off the tee with a penetrating flight that holds its line in wind. The cover gives real greenside spin, a little below the best of Titleist and TaylorMade in independent testing and well within the margin most players could detect.
Feel is firm, which is the point of this model over the Pro. The value argument is the whole pitch and it holds: bought in bulk it costs well under the tour balls it competes with. The caveats are consistency, which independent testing has found more variable batch to batch than the majors, and the wait for delivery. The neon colours are either a feature or a warning.
