2024TitleistGolf Ball
The cheapest ball Titleist makes is also the softest, and for most weekend golfers that is the better trade.

TruFeel sits at the bottom of the Titleist ladder on price and at the top of it on softness, and the two facts are related. The core is large and low compression, the cover is a soft blend Titleist calls TruFlex, and the ball leaves a putter face with a muted, dead sound that a lot of golfers find easier to control than the click of a firmer model. Chipping and pitching feel the same way. The cover is the meaningful update in this generation, because the old TruFeel gave up the greenside almost entirely and this one holds a short pitch well enough that you can aim at a flag rather than at the middle of the green.
It is still not urethane and it never behaves like urethane on a full wedge. Distance is where the price shows. Off the driver it gives up several yards to a tour ball for a competent swing and more for a fast one, because a low compression core and a low spin flight do not work together at speed. None of that matters to the golfer this is built for. Twenty five dollars a dozen buys a Titleist that feels wonderful on and around the green and loses nothing a mid handicap will ever notice.
