Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash Review
2025TitleistGolf Ball
The Pro V1x flight with the long game spin taken out, sold to the narrow band of players who genuinely spin it too much.

Left Dash exists for one problem, and if you do not have that problem it is the wrong ball. The problem is spin: a driver swing north of 110 mph, a steep delivery, or strong lofted irons that send a 7 iron past its useful apex and drop it out of the sky short. The fix is a firmer core and a stiffer casing layer under the same cast urethane cover Titleist puts on the Pro V1x, which pulls spin out of every full swing while leaving the trajectory alone. It still flies high. It just stops climbing.
On a launch monitor the gap from a standard Pro V1x is smaller than the sidestamp mythology suggests, usually a few hundred rpm off the driver and a similar cut with a long iron. Into a two club wind that is the difference between a ball that holds its line and one that balloons and comes up twenty yards short. Nothing is given up around the green, because the cover is the same one: a half wedge checks on the second hop, and a chip off a tight lie grabs exactly the way a Pro V1x does.
Feel is where the bill comes due. This is the firmest ball in the Pro V1 family and it sounds it, a hard click off the putter face that better players read as feedback and everyone else reads as a rock. That is the honest test for the price. Anyone under about 100 mph with the driver is paying 55 dollars a dozen to lose spin they cannot spare, and would be better served by the standard model sitting next to it on the shelf.
