TaylorMade Tour Response Review
2024TaylorMadeGolf Ball
TaylorMade's answer to the same question Srixon asked, with a slightly firmer feel and a slightly higher price.

The Tour Response is what happens when a company that sells a premium ball decides to compete one tier down without embarrassing itself. It carries a cast urethane cover, so the greenside performance is genuine: this checks and stops like a TP5 in most conditions, and only the very sharpest wedge players will feel the difference. Feel is softer than a TP5 and firmer than a Srixon Q-Star Tour, which many golfers find the more satisfying of the two off the putter.
Off the driver it is a lower compression ball that will lose a few yards for a fast swing and lose nothing for an average one, with a mid to high flight. The price sits a little above Srixon's equivalent and below the tour balls, which is exactly where the performance sits. The stripe version, with a bold alignment band, is a real aid on the green and a cosmetic argument everywhere else. A ball that does what it says at the price it asks.
