The glue between nine thousand applications, billed by the drop.

Zapier's value is that it already speaks to whatever you use. Somewhere past nine thousand integrations the odds that both halves of a workflow are covered become close to certain, and building the connection is a form rather than a script: pick a trigger, pick an action, map the fields, switch it on. For an operations lead, a marketer or a founder with no developer, that is the difference between a process existing and not existing.
The editor is legible, the error log explains itself, and the templates cover the obvious cases before anyone has to think. Pricing is where the enthusiasm stops. Billing counts every successful action, so a workflow that fires all day becomes a line item somebody has to defend, and the jump between task tiers is steep enough that heavy users find Make gives them several times the volume for the same money, or move to something self hosted for less. Comparisons still send beginners here and send volume elsewhere, which is a fair statement of what it is worth.
