SaaS Product

More power and a free tier than the neat alternative, at the cost of a tidy result and a legible bill.

Wix has been at this since 2006 and now carries a few per cent of the entire web. The editor is absolute drag and drop: elements sit exactly where they are dropped, which feels liberating for an hour and then explains why so many Wix sites look slightly askew. Wix Studio exists for people who want a real grid and a professional workflow, and it is the better product, but it is a separate editor with its own learning curve.

Breadth is the argument in its favour. An app market covering bookings, restaurants, memberships and events, an AI builder that assembles a whole site from a short conversation, and vertical tooling for hotels and gyms that nobody else bothers to ship. If the requirement is unusual, Wix probably has it.

The cost is coherence. Sites grow heavy, the editor invites clutter, and switching template after launch still means rebuilding.

Pricing needs care. Light is seventeen dollars a month, Core twenty nine, Business thirty nine and Business Elite a hundred and fifty nine, all quoted on annual billing. Paying monthly costs up to forty per cent more and those rates are not published until checkout. The free plan carries Wix branding and a Wix subdomain, so treat it as a trial.
