ServiceNow Review
The most capable workflow engine an enterprise can buy, and the most opaque thing in the category to price or to staff.

Calling ServiceNow a ticketing tool undersells it badly. Underneath ITSM sits a genuine application platform: a CMDB that rival tools only pretend to keep current, a flow designer that handles approvals and integrations without leaving the browser, and enough scripting depth that HR, legal, security operations and facilities all end up running against the same records. That single-platform effect is why large organisations tolerate the rest, and there is a lot of rest. Nothing is listed publicly; buyers negotiate an annual contract quoted against fulfiller seats and platform bundles, and the number moves with how much of the catalogue they take.
Releases land twice a year and every customisation has to be retested against them, which is why serious deployments carry a permanent platform team. Standing it up is not a weekend either, since discovery, CMDB hygiene and catalogue design are quarters of work. But the ceiling is genuinely high, the governance story is credible, and the automation compounds instead of stalling. It earns the grade on what it can carry, not on what it costs to get there.
