Raycast Review
The Mac launcher that made Spotlight look like an afterthought, which it was.

Raycast is the thing you press before you do anything else on a Mac. It launches applications and files faster than Spotlight, then keeps going: a clipboard history that saves the hour you lost, window tiling that Apple took years to add, text snippets, calculator and unit conversion inline, and a store of extensions that reach into Jira, GitHub, Linear, Notion and whatever else a working day touches.
The extension platform is the real product, because developers build for it and the result is that most workflows are a few keystrokes from anywhere. The free tier is generous. The paid tier adds cloud sync and the AI features, which put a model behind a hotkey and are genuinely convenient. The limits are that it is Mac only, that the Windows version is young, and that the AI tier competes with tools people already pay for. For anyone who lives at a keyboard it pays for itself in the first week.
