Notion is built from blocks. Every paragraph, image, toggle and embed is a movable unit, and a page can nest other pages indefinitely, which is how one product serves as a note app, a team wiki and a lightweight project tracker at the same time. The databases are the substantive part: a table whose rows are pages with typed properties, relations and rollups joining tables together, formulas, and interchangeable table, board, calendar, timeline and gallery views over identical rows.
Templates, synced blocks and database automations cut the copy-paste work that usually kills internal documentation. Permissions run per page and inherit down the tree, and guests do not consume paid seats. It is free for individuals, $10 per member per month for Plus and $20 for Business, with enterprise pricing quoted; clients cover the web, macOS, Windows, iOS and Android. Notion Labs first released the product in 2016. This entry carries a provisional placeholder grade: it has not been through a full graded review yet, so every letter here sits at a neutral C until it is.
