Granola is an AI meeting notetaker with a simple twist that explains its loyal following: it does not send a bot into your call. It listens through your own machine, so there is no awkward third participant on the invite, then combines the raw transcript with the shorthand you type to produce clean, structured notes, and lets you ask questions across everything it has captured. It began as a Mac first app and has since added Windows and mobile.
The plans are straightforward. A free tier covers 25 meetings for the life of the account, the Individual plan is 18 dollars a month, the Business plan is 14 dollars per user each month, and Enterprise starts around 35 dollars per user with model training turned off and admin controls added.
What people like is that it stays out of the way and the output is genuinely usable, which is not the norm in a category full of clunky transcript dumps. The trade offs are modest. It wants a desktop app running, the individual price sits above some free alternatives, and the value grows with how disciplined you are about typing a few cues during the call. For anyone in back to back meetings who wants notes without the ceremony, it is one of the easiest tools here to recommend.
