Glean is enterprise search that actually delivers on the promise, plus an assistant and agents built on the same index. It connects to the tools a company already runs, from Slack and Google Drive to Jira and Salesforce, learns the org chart and permissions, and lets an employee ask a plain question and get an answer drawn from internal knowledge rather than a pile of links.
The business is one of the fastest scaling in enterprise software. Glean crossed 100 million dollars in annual recurring revenue in the fiscal year that ended in January 2025, roughly doubled to 200 million by December, and raised a Series F in June 2025 that valued it at 7.2 billion dollars. Pricing is not published, but buyers report figures around 50 to 75 dollars per user each month with a minimum near 100 seats, so realistic entry sits above 60000 dollars a year.
That cost and the deployment effort are the barriers. Standing Glean up means wiring in connectors, permissions and security review, which is a real IT project rather than a signup. For a company of a few hundred people or more drowning in scattered documents it pays back quickly. For a small team it is priced and built for someone larger.
