Gamma Review
The fastest route from a rough idea to a deck that does not look generated, at a price that undercuts the category.

Gamma was founded in 2020 on a thesis most investors dismissed: that the slide deck deserved a rebuild rather than another template pack. What it produces is not a PowerPoint file but a scrolling, card based document that happens to present, and that choice is most of why the output rarely looks machine made. Feed it a prompt, an outline or a pasted report and something structured comes back, with images placed, in under a minute.
The business is unusual for the category. A hundred million dollars of annual recurring revenue with roughly fifty employees, profitable, then sixty eight million raised at about a two billion valuation in November 2025 and seventy million people signed up.
Pricing is the pleasant surprise where rivals charge thirty dollars a seat. Free gives four hundred one time credits, enough to judge it properly. Plus is nine dollars a seat a month with a thousand credits, Pro eighteen with four thousand, and only agent edits, top tier models and API calls draw on credits at all: ordinary generation is included. The weak point is export. PowerPoint files come out with noticeably lower fidelity, which is the honest cost of not being a PowerPoint tool.
