Datadog collects telemetry from servers, containers, databases, cloud services and application code, then correlates it in one place. An agent installed per host ships metrics and logs, distributed tracing instruments the application, and Real User Monitoring and Synthetics watch the browser and the endpoint from outside. The correlation is the actual product: a spike on an infrastructure dashboard links to the traces behind it, which link to the logs of the specific request, without switching tools or re-tagging data.

Hundreds of integrations cover the common stack, monitors alert on thresholds or anomaly detection, and Watchdog surfaces deviations nobody wrote a rule for. Cloud SIEM, Cloud Security Management and Application Security extend the same pipeline into security work. Billing is consumption-based and layered: Infrastructure Pro runs $15 per host per month on annual commitment, APM adds $31 per host, and logs meter separately on ingest and indexing.

Founded in 2010, listed on Nasdaq since 2019. This entry carries a provisional placeholder grade: it has not been through a full graded review yet, so every letter here sits at a neutral C until it is.
