Iron shaping at address, fairway wood launch off the deck, and a hosel that lets you set the gap properly.

The hard part of a hybrid is making it launch high without making it look like a small fairway wood at address, and Titleist gets closer than most. The TSR2 head is deeper front to back than the iron it replaces in the bag, with mass pushed low and back so a 21 degree head carries properly from a fairway lie, yet the crown is compact enough and the topline square enough that it sets up like a club you can aim.

The face uses a variable thickness pattern that keeps speed on the low toe, which is where hybrid strikes cluster for most players. Out of rough it slides rather than snagging, helped by a sole that narrows toward the heel. The real value is the SureFit hosel, sixteen loft and lie settings, because a hybrid usually exists to fill one specific yardage gap and this one can be dialled to it. At $299 it is not cheap, and it will replace two clubs you never hit well.
