Titleist T200 Review
2023TitleistGolf Club
A hollow body distance iron shaped like a players iron, which is the entire reason it sells the way it does.

The players distance category exists because good golfers want help and refuse to look at a shovel to get it, and the T200 is the cleanest answer anyone has built. From address the topline is thin, the offset is modest and the head sits small behind the ball, all of which reads as a players iron. Inside is a forged face welded to a hollow body, a large tungsten weight low in the toe and heel, and a reworked polymer insert that damps the ringing a thin hollow face would otherwise produce.
Speed is the headline and it is real: ball speed off the center and off the low toe both sit well above what a cast cavity back of the same loft delivers, though the lofts here are stronger than a traditional set, so the number stamped on the sole flatters the club in the usual way. Forgiveness is genuinely good for a head this compact, with mishits losing yards rather than falling out of the sky.
Feel is the improvement over the previous generation. It is soft and muted where the old model was hollow and clicky, and it now sits in a bag next to the forged T100 without embarrassing itself. A full steel set runs fourteen hundred dollars, which is the going rate for this neighborhood and no bargain.
