The modern tour iron: dual forged, tungsten in the toe and heel, and no interest in flattering you.

Titleist builds the T100 to a spec sheet written by tour players, and it shows in what the iron refuses to do. Lofts are traditional, so a 7 iron is thirty four degrees and goes a 7 iron distance. The sole is narrow with a small amount of camber, the topline is thin, and the offset is minimal, which is exactly what a player who shapes shots wants and exactly what a player who needs help does not.
Underneath the conservative look is real engineering: a dual forged construction with a softer insert behind the hitting area, and as much as sixty six grams of tungsten split between heel and toe in the long irons to lift the moment of inertia without widening anything. The feel is the best part, a dense soft thump that tells you precisely where on the face you caught it. Ball speed is consistent rather than fast. Seven irons cost $1,299 in steel from August 2021, and nothing at that price feels better.
