A seamless thermoform crown replaces titanium up top, and the whole head grows into the space it freed.

GT2 is the first Titleist driver to abandon a titanium crown. The Seamless Thermoform Crown is a proprietary polymer matrix formed in a single piece, lighter than titanium and, because it is seamless, free of the reinforcement a bonded joint usually needs, which is where the real mass saving comes from. That freed weight went into a deeper, larger head that carries more mass low and rearward, so the GT2 is both longer front to back and more stable than the TSR2 it replaces while still looking like a Titleist at address.

The face keeps a variable thickness design and the sound is a firm, low note noticeably different from the TSR generation. Fitting remains the SureFit hosel with sixteen independent loft and lie settings, with no movable weight on this model. Lofts are 8, 9, 10 and 11 degrees. Grades here are a provisional placeholder held flat at C until this head goes through a proper fitting and a full launch monitor block.
