Speed Injection arrives: every face tuned over the limit in manufacture, then resin-injected back under it.

M5 is where Speed Injection started. TaylorMade built every face hotter than the legal limit, measured it, then injected a precise amount of resin through two ports until it sat just under the ceiling, which means the head you buy is at the limit rather than somewhere below it. The fitting story is the inverse T-Track, two ten-gram weights on a T-shaped channel that can both go back for stability, both go forward for low spin, or split across the heel and toe for bias, which is about as much range as a driver sole can offer.

Twist Face and the Hammerhead slot carry over. The head is 460cc with a heavily sculpted carbon crown and a firm, mid-pitched sound. Lofts are 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees with the usual four-degree sleeve, and the resin ports remain visible on the face as two small dots. The letters are a provisional placeholder: nothing gets a real grade until it has been hit on a range and measured rather than read about.
