The 10K in the name refers to the combined heel-toe and crown-sole moment of inertia figures, and reaching it required Ping to take mass out of the top of the head far more aggressively than the dragonfly crown allowed. The answer is the Carbonfly Wrap, a carbon crown that continues down over the skirt of the head rather than stopping at the edge, which frees enough grams for a large tungsten mass at the extreme back of the sole.

The head is a full 460cc, longer front to back than the standard G430 Max and visibly larger at address. The face carries the spinsistency variable thickness pattern, thinner low on the face to protect launch and spin on strikes below centre. Sound is the usual low Ping thud. Fitting is the eight-position hosel with loft and lie adjustment, and lofts are 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees. Grades here are a provisional placeholder held flat at C until this head goes through a proper fitting and a full launch monitor block.
