2021OdysseyGolf Club
The original two part urethane insert, back in the double bend seven, and still the best feeling putter under $250.

Odyssey spent fifteen years trying to improve on the White Hot insert and eventually gave up and reissued it. That was the right call. The two part urethane gives a soft, muted response with just enough click to time a long putt by ear, and no insert since has quite matched it for the way a mishit still feels like contact rather than a thud. The seven is the shape that made the fang mallet a category: two wings behind a short face, high moment of inertia, a sight line that frames the ball properly, and enough stability that a strike off the toe finishes close to the hole rather than short and left.
The double bend shaft gives full face balance for a straight stroke. It is not milled, the finish is plain, and it will never be a collector's item. That is the whole point. At $219.99 with a steel shaft it does ninety percent of what a putter three times the price does, and it does the feel part better.
