2020CobraGolf Club
Four zones that describe real parts rather than slogans, at fifty dollars less than everything it beat.

SpeedZone was Cobra's most complete driver before the current era, and the four-zone framing actually described real parts. The power zone is a CNC milled infinity face whose milled area extends over the topline, which matters because that is where quick players tend to strike it. The speed zone is a T-bar chassis and a carbon crown that keeps the head stiff while weighing almost nothing. The precision zone is the pair of ten-gram and two-gram weights, enough range to move spin meaningfully without pretending to be a fitting bay.
The control zone is the eight-setting hosel. Put together you get a 460cc head that is stable across the face, sounds sharp without being shrill and delivers mid launch with mid spin from a genuinely wide range of swings. It arrived at $449 against rivals charging past $500 for the same technology, and the address shape, slightly pear-like and pointedly not bulbous, still looks modern years later.
