F8 is the driver that brought CNC milling to a production face. Rather than trusting the forming process to land on the intended thickness, Cobra milled the face afterwards, which tightens the tolerance and lets the design sit closer to the legal limit across more of its area. The face also uses a dual roll geometry, with different curvature above and below centre to correct launch and spin on high and low strikes.
The crown carries 360 aero trips, small raised elements that manage airflow at the top of the downswing, and the sole has front and back weight ports for a coarse spin adjustment. The head is 460cc with a carbon crown and an eight-setting hosel. Lofts are 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees, and the whole package launched at $399 when the flagship price elsewhere was a hundred dollars higher. Provisional entry, held flat at C as a placeholder until a fitting session and range testing produce numbers worth standing behind.
