An internal weight bar bridges the sole, pushing mass low and forward for a flat, fast flight.

The clever part sits inside. Rather than bolting weight to the sole, Cobra runs a bridge shaped bar across the inside of the head, which places mass low and forward without stiffening the areas of the sole that need to flex. The effect is exactly what the geometry predicts: spin drops, the flight flattens, and ball speed off the tee is among the best of its year. That makes it a superb 3 wood for a player who tees it up on tight par fours and wants something that runs.
Off the deck it is more demanding. The low forward centre of gravity that produces the flat flight also means a shallow strike off a tight lie comes out lower than most golfers want, so this is not the wood to buy if you struggle to elevate one. The sound is a loud metallic crack that divides opinion. Three lofts with a hosel that adjusts a degree and a half either way, at $330. Very good for the right player, unforgiving for the wrong one.
