Callaway has changed the name over the driver every couple of years and changed the face material almost never. Quantum breaks that. The Tri-Force face puts a titanium front, about a seventh thinner than the Elyte face, over a military grade poly mesh bond and a carbon fiber backing, so the titanium takes the compression at impact and the carbon takes the tension behind it. The claim is that this releases more energy than titanium alone can, and the speed half of it is measurable: in Today's Golfer's 2026 driver test the Quantum Max returned the highest ball speed of any model at 163.7 miles an hour, close to a mile an hour clear of the next head, and the second longest carry at 286.2 yards, a tenth of a yard behind its own Triple Diamond sibling.

The pattern it draws is ordinary, though. Left to right dispersion measured 15.9 yards, exactly the test average, against 12.3 yards for the Triple Diamond and 10.1 yards for the TaylorMade Qi4D LS.

The head is a conventional 460cc shape with a single weight system, a 10 gram weight at the back that sets a neutral or a draw bias, and an OptiFit hosel carrying eight loft and lie settings. There is no fade setting and no front weight, so a player who wants to hold the ball against a right to left wind has less to work with here than in a Ping G440 K, whose 32 gram back weight moves three ways. Feel is the surprise. A multi material face usually sounds cheap and this one does not, closer to a solid titanium crack than the hollow report the Paradym heads gave.

Six hundred and forty nine dollars is level with the Ping G440 K and fifty dollars under the Titleist GTS4. For the fastest face in golf this year, that is the strongest value case at the top of the market, as long as the shot you need help with is the short one rather than the crooked one.
