2024CallawayGolf Club
The most complete players distance iron Callaway has built, with a face designed one loft at a time.

The interesting idea in the Ai200 is that each iron in the set gets its own face. Rather than scaling one thickness pattern up and down the bag, Callaway computed a separate map for every loft, weighted toward spin consistency and landing angle instead of chasing the biggest ball speed number. In practice that means the long irons hold a green and the short irons stop spinning so hard that they balloon, and the gapping through the set is far tidier than the previous Apex generations managed.
Construction is a forged hollow body with a forged face and tungsten low in the toe, and the feel is soft and quiet, closer to a cavity back than to the hollow irons of a few years ago. Shaping is honest: modest offset, a topline a good player can live with, a sole with enough width to help without ploughing. Seven irons cost $1,400 from August 2024, which is the going rate now. It earns it.
