2021CallawayGolf Club
A forged players distance iron with a huge tungsten core, priced like a set of custom irons.

Apex 21 is a hollow forged iron that hides an unusual amount of engineering behind a conservative shape. The face is a cup design, thin and wrapped around the leading edge, with the thickness pattern optimised by machine rather than by hand, and it sits on a fully forged body filled with urethane microspheres to kill the tinny note a hollow head usually makes. Up to ninety grams of tungsten is packed low in the long irons, which is a large number and does exactly what it should, lifting flight and stability without widening the sole.
It is long, the flight is high and steady, and the feel is soft enough that most players would not guess the construction. The complaint is money. An eight piece steel set launched at $1,480, roughly $185 a club, which is tour iron pricing for a set most buyers choose because they want help. Good iron, difficult value, and the reason many fitters steered players to the cheaper models in the same family.
