GoPro HERO13 Black Review
2024GoProCamera
Stabilisation so good it reads as a gimbal, on a sensor that falls apart the moment the sun goes down.

Stabilisation stopped being a competition several generations ago and this one extends the lead: horizon lock holds level through a full barrel roll, and footage from a helmet or a chest mount comes back looking as though it were shot on a gimbal by someone walking carefully. The resolution list is generous, with 5.3K60, 4K120 and 1080p at 240 frames for slow motion, and the new magnetic latch means you can move it between mounts with cold hands. The interesting addition is the detachable lens system: screw on the macro, ultra wide or anamorphic element and the camera recognises which one is fitted and adjusts its processing, which turns a single-purpose device into something closer to a small kit.
There is no autofocus in any meaningful sense, because the fixed lens relies on a depth of field so deep that everything past a few inches is acceptably sharp, and for this job that is the correct engineering answer rather than a shortcut. The limit is the sensor. Daylight is excellent, overcast is fine, and dusk or indoors is noisy and smeared. Shoot it in the sun.
