The Fujifilm for people who want the colours without the dials, and the best value in the range.

Fujifilm built its identity on retro dials and the X-S20 quietly ignores them, which is why it is the model to recommend to someone coming from another brand. Everything that makes the company's cameras appealing is intact: the 26 megapixel sensor with the film simulations that produce finished looking colour straight from the camera, a lens range that is the best in APS-C by a wide margin, and a body small enough to disappear.
What the S line adds is a deep grip, a PASM dial that anyone can use, in body stabilisation rated to seven stops, and the large battery from the X-T5 that doubles the endurance of the previous model. Video is a genuine strength, with 6.2K open gate recording and a dedicated vlog mode. Autofocus is where Fujifilm trails Sony and Canon: subject detection is present and less reliable, and it hunts in low contrast. For everything but fast action it is close to the ideal enthusiast camera.
