DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Review
2023DJICamera
A one-inch sensor on a real mechanical gimbal, in something the size of a marker pen, and it made vlogging cameras look silly.

The gimbal is not electronic stabilisation, it is three motors physically holding the camera level, and that difference is why footage from this looks like a dolly shot rather than a corrected handheld one. DJI put a one-inch sensor on the end of it, four times the area of a phone or an action camera, and that is the reason low light is usable rather than merely present. The two-inch screen rotates, and when you turn it the entire interface and the recording format rotate with it, so shooting vertical becomes a physical gesture instead of a menu dive.
Subject tracking moves the actual camera to follow a face around a room, which frees you to talk rather than to frame. There is 4K120, ten-bit D-Log M for grading, a surprisingly usable pair of built-in microphones and direct wireless pairing with the company transmitters. The limits are the ones the size implies: a fixed wide lens, a small battery, and a mechanical assembly with moving parts that needs protecting in a bag. For a solo creator who talks to a camera, nothing else near this price is close.
