WHAM Review
2025Album
A tighter, more deliberate album from someone finally aware the last one was a slog.

The improvement is structural rather than creative. Someone clearly told him the previous album was too long, so this one is trimmed, better paced and mixed with more care, and the difference in listenability is immediate. The beats have more variety than he usually allows, a few soul flavoured loops among the standard dark trap, and there are moments where the writing gets specific enough to bite.
Redbone is the most memorable thing here. Dum, Dumb, and Dumber is fun purely because of the company. By Myself has a genuine mood. What is still missing is a reason for the record to exist beyond keeping the name in circulation, and the subjects have not moved in five years. He remains one of the most naturally likeable rappers of his generation and one of the least curious. This is a competent album by a man who has not had a new idea since 2020.
