She's the Best Review

She's the Best is Troye Sivan's fourth album, released by Interscope on October 9, 2026, twelve songs in about 42 minutes. He wrote it in 2025 and 2026 while touring, after a stretch of travel he has described as deeply lonely, and it balances high octane dance tracks with quieter songs he calls the most honest he has made, with Madonna, Kylie Minogue, the Avalanches and King Krule among the touchstones and the French writer Annie Ernaux behind some of the lyrics. Jack Antonoff, Cirkut, George Daniel and Oscar Görres are among the producers, and the closer, Lost Time, features Lily-Rose Depp. It reached No. 2 in Australia and No. 9 in the UK.

It reviewed very well: 81 on Metacritic from twelve critics. The Guardian called him a strange, singular pop star who deserves to be multiplatinum, Rolling Stone Australia gave it five stars as a party with softer edges, and AllMusic, NME and MusicOMH were close behind, the last praising how it balances throbbing sensuality with a longing for domestic bliss. Not everyone was won over: the Financial Times found it starry but scattershot, and Slant thought he loses himself in his muses.

The production is lush and precise, and the album keeps its dance floor pulse even when it slows, so production and vibe earn A grades. The writing is more candid than before but not always distinct from its influences, which holds lyrics at a B, and it is an A.
