We Don't Trust You Review
2024Album
Great beats, real menace, and one verse that swallowed the album and the year around it.

The production is the best he has rapped over in years. Metro builds the whole record from horns, choral samples and drums with actual violence in them, and the sequencing has a shape the recent solo albums lacked entirely. Type Shit and Cinderella are hard and precise. Ice Attack has a genuinely nasty beat. Like That is the one everybody means, and it is worth being clear that it is a great song independent of the feud it triggered, a bass figure that sounds like a door being forced and a guest verse delivered with total contempt.
The billed artist is very good on his own album and is not the reason it dominated the spring. That is the honest reading of it. Seventeen tracks means the usual sag in the last third, and the top half is as strong as anything in the modern catalogue.
