2020Album
The one where everything finally clicks, and the hook nobody expected turns him into a headliner.

Two years of independence paid off here. The production has weight for the first time, proper low end and drums with some snap, and the melodic delivery is deployed with enough restraint that when he leans into it the effect lands. 3 Headed Goat is the pivot, a hard beat with two guests and a hook that got played everywhere for a summer, and it is the first time he sounds like the biggest artist on his own record.
Viral Moment is the best writing, an unglamorous account of what attention costs. Doin Too Much and When I Was Little are strong. Not the same as a great album, and the second half thins out into familiar territory. But the confidence is new, the sound is finally his own, and everything he released over the following three years builds on the template established across these fifty minutes.
