I'm the Problem Review
2025Album
Thirty seven tracks and nearly two hours long, which is both why it sold and why it sags.

Length is the strategy here. Thirty seven tracks is a streaming-era move, since every song that gets played counts toward the same chart position, and it worked: 493,000 units in week one, eight consecutive weeks at number one, then a return to the top in January 2026 and again that August. Nothing in country music has held the chart like this except Wallen's own last album.
The songs are more modest than the numbers. Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome build the same reliable frame most of the way through, acoustic guitar and a programmed kick, with the voice sitting high and slightly ragged in it. Just in Case and I Got Better are genuinely well made. What I Want, with Tate McRae, is the crossover swing and lands better than it should. 20 Cigarettes and Don't We were still finding radio a year after release.
What sinks the average is everything in between, eight or ten tracks of the same regret in the same key, which a forty minute record would have cut. Critics settled around a middling score for exactly that reason and they were right. The audience did not care, which is its own fact about country music in 2026.
