For All the Dogs Review
2023Album
Eighty five minutes with no editor, no ideas and a lead performance that sounds actively bored.

Twenty three tracks and not one of them argues for its own existence. The beats are competent and anonymous, the guests are better than the host on almost every appearance, and the sequencing looks like it was done by file size. First Person Shooter is the exception, and only because a rival turns up with something to prove. Slime You Out and IDGAF have functional hooks. Everything else is a rich man in his late thirties addressing women who left him a decade ago, in the tone of somebody reading his own mentions.
Virginia Beach opens the album on a lovely sample and then does nothing with the mood it buys. The record was delayed, arrived sounding unfinished anyway, and then had an extra disc appended weeks later, which is a fair summary of the whole enterprise. He has made worse songs. He has never made a duller album, and dull is the harder failure to forgive.
