2019Album
Slick, cold and consistent. The album that turned a style into a brand.

The appeal is entirely textural and it is real. He raps just above a murmur, every syllable placed on the beat with the same soft landing, and Wheezy builds around that with bright synth arpeggios and drums mixed low so nothing disturbs the surface. It is rap as furniture in the best sense, a record designed to make a room feel expensive. Speed It Up is the standout, a beat that glides for three minutes without ever raising its voice.
Baby Birkin was added later and became the thing most people know. Derek Fisher and One Call keep the pace. What you will not find is a memorable line, a story, or a moment where the temperature shifts, and across sixteen tracks that becomes noticeable. He is doing one thing at a very high level. Whether that is enough depends entirely on whether you want that thing, and plenty of people did.
