Drip Harder Review

Almost everything good about this comes from the pairing. One of them raps flat and direct, the other slides around the beat in a whisper, and putting them on the same track gives each song a built in texture change that neither man manages alone. Drip Too Hard is the obvious peak, ninety seconds of a beat so simple it should not work and a hook that refuses to leave, and it is one of the defining singles of the late two thousand and tens.

Close Friends is the ballad and it is genuinely affecting. Never Recover has the biggest guest. Belly and Business is Business keep the pace up. Thirteen tracks and forty minutes with no interludes and no attempt to make it an event. Nothing here is deep, nothing is trying to be, and as a piece of company it is close to flawless.
