Daytona Review
2018Album
Twenty one minutes, seven songs, no filler and no excuses. The argument for editing, settled.

The length is not a gimmick, it is the thesis. Every song here starts at the point another rapper would reach after ninety seconds, holds one idea, and stops. If You Know You Know opens with a guitar loop that sounds like it has been left in a drawer for forty years and a hook that is barely a hook. The Games We Play is the best beat on the record and the best verse, a run through his whole catalogue of grievances delivered with a sneer that never rises above conversational.
Come Back Baby splits itself in half and is better for it. Infrared closes with the shot that started the most famous feud of the year, which is the only moment the outside world intrudes. Nothing is stretched, nothing is repeated, and there is no second half to skip. It is a small record that beats much larger ones on every measure that counts.
