2014Album
No guests, no singles, no help, and the best writing anyone has done about wanting to go home.

The joke about the guest list obscured what he actually made, which is the most emotionally coherent album in his catalogue. It is structured as a return, opening at the house he grew up in and closing on the argument that everything he chased was already there, and unlike most rap albums with a thesis it lets the songs carry it rather than the interludes. Wet Dreamz is the set piece, four minutes of teenage panic told with enough specificity and enough humour that it never curdles into nostalgia.
03 Adolescence is the better song and the less quoted one. No Role Modelz is the hit and the weakest thing here by a distance, a lecture with a great beat. Love Yourz closes it plainly and lands. The self production is warm and slightly muddy in a way that suits the material. The preaching is present and the record earns the right to it.
