Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Review
2020GR Supra 3.0Car
A very good BMW with a Toyota badge, which turned out to matter less than everyone shouted at launch.

The noise about the shared engineering has faded and what is left is a genuinely good car. The B58 straight-six is smooth, torquey and famously overbuilt, making 335 horsepower at launch and 382 after Toyota admitted what it had been underrating. The wheelbase is short and the track is wide, which makes the car keen to rotate in a way that took a software revision or two to civilise, and the manual gearbox added later fixed the one thing enthusiasts genuinely missed.
It is a comfortable long distance machine with a usable hatchback boot and fuel economy that is remarkable given the pace. Reliability has been strong, helped by an engine with a very large aftermarket and a long track record. The cabin is where the badge argument still stings, because it is recognisably a BMW interior with a different steering wheel, and outward visibility over your shoulder is poor. Values dropped faster than Toyotas usually do, which makes a used one the smart buy here.
