Tesla Cybertruck Review
2024CybertruckCar
Genuinely the most inventive vehicle sold in a decade, and genuinely one of the worst to actually live with.

Take the engineering seriously for a moment. The Cybertruck runs a 48 volt low voltage system where every other production vehicle runs 12, which slashes wiring weight, and it steers entirely by wire with no mechanical column, which makes a truck this long genuinely nimble in a car park. The stainless exoskeleton needs no paint. The onboard outlets will run a house. Then the reality. The first year brought recall after recall, including accelerator pedals that could jam under the trim, exterior panels separating from the body, and repeated software fixes for the drive inverter.
Efficiency is poor, with 318 miles coming from a pack of roughly 123 kilowatt hours. Body repair requires a specialist and insurers priced it accordingly. Rear visibility depends on a camera because the rear glass is effectively a letterbox with no wiper. Used values collapsed faster than any new vehicle in recent memory. It is a fascinating object and a difficult truck.
