The most aerodynamic production car ever built, and the worst depreciation of any luxury saloon on sale.

Mercedes threw everything at the EQS and got the physics exactly right. A drag coefficient of 0.20 is the lowest of any production car, and it delivers 340 miles alongside air suspension, rear axle steering that turns a five metre saloon inside a city side street, and a rolling refinement nothing in the class matches. The Hyperscreen is genuinely dazzling on first acquaintance. Then the problems compound.
The one box shape reads as a large hatchback rather than a limousine, which is fatal in a segment built entirely on presence. The sloping roof costs rear headroom in a car bought to be sat in the back of. The screen dazzles and then frustrates, because everything lives inside it and the menu depth is punishing while moving. Software has been a persistent source of complaints. And the depreciation is the worst number in this entire field, with two year old cars losing well over half their value. As a used purchase it is extraordinary.
