A racing car with number plates, and every single compromise that description implies.

The STO is the road version of a car built to win endurance races, and Lamborghini did not soften it much on the way. The 5.2 litre V10 is naturally aspirated, makes 631 horsepower, revs past 8,500 and is one of the last engines of its kind anyone will build. Drive goes only to the rear wheels. The nose is a single carbon clamshell, the rear wing is manually adjustable, and the brakes are a race-derived ceramic system that needs heat to work properly.
On a circuit it is sensational and on a road it is exhausting. There is no meaningful storage, visibility rearward is theoretical, the ride is punishing, and the noise at motorway speed makes conversation difficult. Fuel economy is the worst kind. Tyres last a few thousand miles, an annual service is a four figure event, and a clutch is a five figure one. Values have held very well because supply was limited. Magnificent, and not a car you own alone.
