2025G80 2.5TCar
German luxury sedan quality at Japanese luxury prices, sold to a market that still will not pay for it used.

The G80 is the clearest evidence that the old luxury hierarchy has broken. The cabin uses open pore wood, real metal, quilted leather and a knurled rotary controller, and the assembly quality genuinely competes with cars from Stuttgart at fifteen thousand dollars more. Active noise cancellation and thick glass make it one of the quietest sedans at any price. The equipment list is close to complete before you touch an options sheet, which is not something you can say about a German rival.
On the road it is set up for calm rather than sport, the ride is beautifully judged, and the 300 horsepower turbo four is smooth and sufficient rather than thrilling. Warranty coverage runs long and Hyundai group service costs stay reasonable, which keeps the maintenance grade high. What sinks the ownership case is resale. Luxury sedan depreciation is bad everywhere, and it is worse for a badge with a short history, so the first owner surrenders a large share of the list price in three years. That is exactly why the used market here is one of the best value propositions in the whole file.
