2026F-150Car
Still the truck everything else is measured against, and the hybrid has quietly become the one to buy.

The F-150 outsells everything else in America because it does more things well than anything else on the lot. The trim ladder runs from a work truck with vinyl floors to a leather lined thing that costs as much as a German sedan, the bed is full of good ideas the competition copied late, and towing and payload sit at or near the top of the class. The meaningful change for 2026 is that the PowerBoost hybrid reaches more trims, which matters because it is the best powertrain here: strong, smooth, better than twenty miles per gallon in mixed driving, and fitted with a generator that runs a job site or, for a couple of days, a house.
Hands free highway driving is available and it works. The cabin is quiet, the ride is settled for a body on frame pickup, and nothing about living with one is difficult. What holds the card back is quality. Ford's record on recalls and early build faults is worse than the Japanese competition, owners report more dealer visits than a Toyota buyer would tolerate, and the independent reliability surveys have put this truck at or below the class average for several years running.
That single grade sits well under the rest and it is the honest read. Resale stays strong regardless, parts are everywhere, and it remains the safest all round choice in the segment.
