Ferrari F80 Review
2026F80Car
Ferrari swapped the V12 for a Le Mans-derived V6 and electric motors, and got its fastest road car and, by early accounts, one of its most approachable.

The F80 follows the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari as Ferrari's flagship, a line renewed roughly once a decade, and it breaks with the last three by dropping the V12. Ferrari revealed it on October 17, 2024, set production at 799, all of them spoken for, at about $3.9 million each, and began customer deliveries around Christmas 2025, with the first American cars following in the spring of 2026. The styling nods to the F40 in the vertical panel behind each front wheel and to the 365 GTB/4 Daytona in the black band across the nose.
The engine is a 3.0 liter, 120 degree twin-turbo V6 derived from the 499P that won Le Mans in 2023 and 2024, making 888 hp on its own, close to 300 hp per liter. An electric front axle and a motor-generator at the rear add 296 hp, for 1,184 hp in all. Ferrari quotes 2.15 seconds to 62 mph, 5.75 to 124 mph and 217 mph, 1,050 kg of downforce at speed, and a Fiorano lap of 1:15.30, the fastest for a road-legal Ferrari. Its active suspension, first seen on the Purosangue, was re-engineered for this car. Evo found the steering uncannily precise and the engine and gearbox superbly matched, described the V6 as gruff but not unmusical, and faulted only a busy low-speed ride on broken roads.
Inside, Ferrari calls the layout a 1+: the cabin wraps around the driver, the passenger sits slightly further back, and physical buttons return to the steering wheel after years of touch pads. There is room behind the seats for an overnight bag, a first for Ferrari's flagship line. It is too new for a reliability record, and the LaFerrari's experience with ageing hybrid batteries is the obvious caution; the electric axle, active suspension and carbon ceramic brakes will not be cheap to maintain once the early years pass. The EPA rates it at 17 mpg combined.
Against its predecessors, the F80 is the fastest and the most technically advanced, and on early evidence it is also the easiest to drive quickly. What it gives up is the V12, and for many buyers that was the point of a Ferrari flagship. It is too soon to know whether it will join the F40 and the LaFerrari in the collector canon, but with 799 cars and every one spoken for, few would bet against it.
