Not user selectable; Lovable routes to hosted frontier modelsAI Model
The fastest route from a sentence to a working app, and the fastest route to a codebase nobody wants to inherit.

Nothing else takes a non engineer from an idea to a deployed, logged in, database backed application in an afternoon. You type what you want, watch a preview render beside the chat, click an element to edit it, connect Supabase or Stripe, and publish to a real URL. That capability did not exist three years ago, and the market agreed loudly: Lovable went from one million dollars of recurring revenue in December 2024 to a hundred million about eight months later, the fastest run anyone has recorded, and this year's Series C valued the company in the billions on fewer than two hundred staff.
The limits show up in the second week of a project. The first prompt is magic and the fifteenth is a negotiation, because the agent keeps rewriting things you did not ask it to touch, and the code it leaves behind carries the habits of its training rather than any opinion of its own. Credits make that expensive to discover. Every message burns them, debugging burns them fastest, and the twenty five dollar Pro plan quietly becomes forty once you are fixing rather than building. The teams who ship on Lovable and stay tend to be the ones who treat it as scaffolding, push the repository to GitHub and carry on in an editor.
Grade it for what it is. As a prototype machine, and as a way to put something real in front of a customer this week, it is the best thing on the market and the ease of use grade says so. As the place a product lives for two years, it is not, and no amount of credits will make it that. There is a free tier, then $25 a month for Pro and $50 for Business, with Enterprise on quote.
