Google's flagship Gemini model, launched in preview in February 2026 and still the top of the Pro line. It is natively multimodal in the architectural sense rather than the bolted-on sense: text, images, audio and video are trained together, so the model accepts all four as input without a separate encoder stage or a preprocessing pipeline on your side. Context runs to a million tokens. Its headline result is 77.1 percent on ARC-AGI-2, an abstraction-and-reasoning benchmark built specifically to resist memorization, alongside strong showings on standard software-engineering suites.
Consumer access comes through the Google AI Pro plan at $19.99 a month, with API access billed separately by token; the model also underpins Gemini across Workspace and is one of the engines several third-party answer products quietly route to. It sits above the Flash line on reasoning and below it on cost and latency, which is the tradeoff the Pro tier has always made. This grade is a provisional placeholder pending hands-on testing.
