Amazon Nova 2 Pro Review

Nova 2 Pro is the top of Amazon's Nova 2 generation, available in preview on Amazon Bedrock since December 2, 2025 as the most intelligent Nova for complex multistep tasks. It offers a one million token context window with up to 64,000 output tokens, built in tools such as a code interpreter and web grounding, support for remote MCP tools, and three thinking intensity levels for trading speed against depth.

For AWS shops the pull is integration and price on the input side. It reads long contexts, grounds itself against the web, and plugs into the Bedrock stack that enterprises already run, at about two dollars nineteen per million input tokens. The catches are that output is dear at seventeen dollars fifty per million tokens, which punishes verbose generation, that it is still a preview rather than a generally available product, and that on raw capability it trails the standalone frontier models rather than leading them.

Nova 2 Pro is for teams already committed to Bedrock who want a capable multimodal model with native tools inside their existing cloud, and who can live with preview status and watch the output bill. Anyone shopping purely on capability, or on a tight generation budget, has cheaper and stronger options elsewhere.
